What is Canine Hydrotherapy?
Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic treatment that utilises all the beneficial properties that water has to help with pain, swelling, stiffness and other symptoms your dog is experiencing.
The water is used as a means of supporting dogs in a non weight bearing or partially weight bearing environment, which allows movements that would not be pos
Hydrotherapy is a therapeutic treatment that utilises all the beneficial properties that water has to help with pain, swelling, stiffness and other symptoms your dog is experiencing.
The water is used as a means of supporting dogs in a non weight bearing or partially weight bearing environment, which allows movements that would not be possible on land, perhaps because of weakness or injury.
It's completely non-invasive and helps to also relax your pet after what could have been a stressful time of injury or weakness.
How it works

The warmth of the water can help relax muscles and ease joint pain.
Buoyancy
The water's buoyancy can help support your dog's weight, making it easier to exercise.
Resistance
The water's resistance can help build muscle strength much more quickly than the equivalent land based exercise.

All our centres are affiliated with the Canine Hydrotherapy Association, meaning that Insurance companies recognise our treatments .
A Veterinary Referral is needed for us to complete treatments, but this is very simple and something we can handle on your behalf. We are also more than happy to assist with any insurance claims.
